Sign Industry

The booming $178 billion signage industry is predicted to grow 2% by 2025. With over 50 million small and medium-sized businesses in the U.S. and Canada, the demand for Image360’s services continues to rise.

Every business and organization needs some type of signage. Offices, schools, manufacturing plants, airports, construction sites, corporate events, and countless other institutions need new signs, replacement signs, and temporary signage, too.

As businesses adjust to a new normal in the wake of the pandemic, most are predicting growth, with more than 95% in a survey by LinchPinSEO anticipating expansion in the next 12 months. That typically means more opportunities for signage companies like Image360.

Signage helps drive revenue

Trends are shifting towards digital signage more than ever, which means many businesses will be looking to update their existing signage. They’ll seek out signage solutions that can more effectively help them drive revenues. The digital segment alone comprises more than a $5 billion share of the signage industry and is anticipated to grow to $11 billion by 2026.

Digital signage utilizes technologies such as LCD, LED, digital image projection, video and streaming media and is found virtually everywhere. ResearchandMarkets.com reports, including public spaces, transportation systems, museums, stadiums, retail stores, hotels and restaurants, its usage is effective for “wayfinding, exhibitions, marketing and outdoor advertising.”

ResearchandMarkets.com also noted, “Over 40 percent of shoppers say that digital displays, such as video walls, can change what they buy. By using digital signage to provide relevant information to an audience near the point of purchase, retailers have generated higher brand awareness and sales uplift.”

Why the signage industry is growing

While the pandemic had a short-term effect on the industry’s growth, there is reason for optimism as many in the visual communications industry see a renewed demand.

Some of the key reasons visual communications companies cite for expansion include:

  • The construction industry is creating an increased need for signage
  • Business is benefitting from clients’ need to update their signage technology
  • Investment continues in new business development, such as products, services, territories and/or staff, which necessitates more signage

"When I bought our center, now almost 7 years ago, I also looked at an independent sign shop. I knew right away that I would have been alone on an island if I had gone that route and didn’t want that risk. I am still glad that I choose Image360 and you all to partner with. I have never been or felt alone."
