We’re proud to share one of our most significant recent installations: a custom mobile memorabilia display for the VA Clinic in Canton, MI, honoring the legacy of Major General Oliver W. Dillard.
This project came to us in June of last year and quickly became a true labor of love. The goal was to design a mobile, flexible display that could both honor Major General Dillard and adapt to the space’s needs. The result? A beautifully designed, freestanding mobile cabinet that showcases an extraordinary collection of memorabilia.
A Rich Legacy on Display
The display features over 30 items, including framed photographs, medals, plaques, and personal accolades that tell the story of Major General Dillard’s remarkable military career. Each piece was meticulously organized and placed to create a compelling and respectful tribute — allowing visitors to connect with the man behind the accomplishments.
Custom Graphics to Enhance the Story
To deepen the storytelling, our team created custom background graphics for the display, featuring subtle camouflage textures and a timeline of key moments from Major General Dillard’s service. The layout ensures that every piece shines while creating a seamless backdrop that ties the whole tribute together. The result is an installation that feels like a piece of living history.
A Special Moment
During the installation, a veteran visiting the VA witnessed the display coming together and shared an emotional moment — he had served under Major General Dillard in Fort Worth, Texas. It was a humbling reminder of the profound connections and stories these installations help preserve.
More Than a Display
This project goes beyond its role as a display case — it serves as a mobile beacon of remembrance and honor. Its design showcases how impactful and adaptable mobile displays can be across industries and spaces, making it an ideal option for heritage installations, corporate showcases, veteran tributes, university milestones, or anywhere that stories deserve to be remembered and celebrated.
