Pole banners (also called Avenue banners or Boulevard banners) are banners that can be hung on one side of the pole or both sides of a pole as a set. Pole banners are seen at museums, parks, schools and hotels and can be a great signage option for many applications.
Pole banners are usually made from a heavy duty vinyl banner material to ensure the banner lasts through seasons and elements. They can be printed on both sides of the banner or just one side of the banner.
Typically, pole banners are used as a promotional and branding aid for businesses, schools or organizations and are also commonly used to highlight events, upcoming programs or holidays.
Pro Tip: It is a good rule of thumb to ensure that the pole banner is allowed to be displayed. Before having your pole banners ordered and created, check with your property owner, local government or administration that owns the street poles. The approval or permitting process for pole banners can take several weeks, so be sure to plan far enough in advance to ensure all approvals are in place prior to pole banner installation.
Pole banners can be made in various lengths and widths. Heights for pole banners can range from 20 inches high up to 96 inches high. Pole banner widths are typically somewhere between 20 inches wide up to 36 inches wide. If you have existing poles for the banners, measure the width of one of the poles and the height between the top and bottom pole to ensure the banner is sized to fit your existing poles.
If you are installing the pole banner yourself, make sure you have the proper accessories to mount the banner. This would include poles, brackets, steel bands and zip-ties.
The poles are inserted in pole pockets on the top and bottom of the pole banner. The poles are made of fiberglass to withstand long-term use and have end caps to prevent the banner from coming off of the poles.
The brackets are rust-resistant mounting hardware with pins and screws to secure the poles and zip-ties.
These are two pairs of rust-resistant bands used to attach the brackets to the pole.
Zip-ties are also a great addition to securing your pole banners. Just make sure to have us add grommets on 2 corners of your pole banner so you can secure your banner with zip-ties.
