How Can We Help?

4/23/2024

Outdoor signs are the best way to attract new customers and help existing clients find your location. For the latter, this is especially important if you’ve recently opened a new location or moved. While getting the sign right is crucial, sign location is also important, which means you must carefully consider your mounting options.

At Image360, we are proud to be your sign and graphics partner. We have the expertise to create quality signs that showcase your brand. But we also know how to properly mount signs so they are effective. Today, we offer the following mounting signage insights to ensure you get it right.

Building Signs

If you want your building sign to be permanent, use wall-mounted fasteners. These will ensure that the sign doesn’t shift or fall. Studs are good options for dimensional lettering, and hooks should be used for hanging banners. If you want the signs to be mounted perpendicular to the building, brackets or arms work the best. If you have a pole or light pole near your business, you may also want to add your signs to these. Brackets should be your go-to for this task.

Site Signage

Besides the building itself, you should also have signs all around your property. If you have a construction or commercial real estate business, for example, you should invest in post and panel options. These are typically freestanding and can sit nearly anywhere on your property.

Another option is pylon mounting. These leverage a single pole or multiple ones. The faces of the poles are inserted into light boxes. The signs can be lit at night, and these designs allow for larger signs. They’re also extremely stable, making them less likely to fall during bad weather or being struck by objects.

Monument signs are elegant and a great way to increase brand awareness. They typically sit at the doorway to a building, on the road, or at the main entranceway to the parking lot. You can attach letters or lightboxes to the sign. They can also be lit at night.

When it comes to any type of outdoor signs, you need to consider the materials and how long they’ll last. Banners, for example, are typically temporary signs. A strong wind could tear them up. Sturdier materials like brick, stone, metal, wood, and concrete will last longer.
